I wasn't planning to share this, but leadership is about transparency... This morning, between executive alignment sessions, I faced a moment of adversity that tested my resilience.
Our executive smoothie bar was out of mangos.
I thought to myself, "If they only knew the weight of the decisions I must make without my daily tropical infusion." But then it hit me - when life hands you melons, you make a smoothie.
So I grabbed a cantaloupe and some papaya, and I blended my own path forward. Because that's what leaders do. We find alignment between the fruits we have and the smoothies we need to succeed.
Was it the smoothie I wanted? No. But it was the smoothie I needed to power through another day of shattering paradigms and moving the needle.
Grateful for the journey. Proud of this team. And reminded that leadership isn't for everyone.
