I thought to myself, as I stared out at the sunrise from my corner office, how can I process this immense responsibility?
Yesterday, after a series of tough but necessary conversations, we made the difficult decision to streamline our organization. While it pains me greatly, I know that this short-term turbulence will lead to long-term resilience and velocity.
And then, mere hours later, the Board informed me of my annual performance bonus. The number was staggering. I sat in silence, humbled and heavy with the weight of leadership.
How does one reconcile such extremes? If they only knew the inner turmoil, the sleepless nights, the solitary burden of the visionary. But this is the path we chose. To build. To grow. To make the hard calls.
